The Old Dinar, Saddam’s Dinar, was once worth $3. 3(USD) would get you 1(IQD), so what if the Old Dinar goes to that rate again? Many are counting on it! Many have been tricked!

What a load of BS! This is played over and over by Dinar Dealers tying to get you to Buy Iraq’s New Currency. Don’t fall for this, here is why:

True, the amount was once 3 Dollars for 1 Old Dinar, but that was set by Saddam. He just picked the number out of the air and the only people that could take advantage of it were his close friends; this WAS NOT the traded exchange rate as most dealers would have you believe.

If you see any site talking about pre-war Dinar value of $3 without explaining that this was not really traded and that in fact, set by Saddam for his close associates, then leave the site ASAP.
