The Old Dinar, Saddam’s Dinar, was once worth $3. 3(USD) would get you 1(IQD), so what if the Old Dinar goes to that rate again? Many are counting on it! Many have been tricked!
What a load of BS! This is played over and over by Dinar Dealers tying to get you to Buy Iraq’s New Currency. Don’t fall for this, here is why:
Old Saddam Dinar
True, the amount was once 3 Dollars for 1 Old Dinar, but that was set by Saddam. He just picked the number out of the air and the only people that could take advantage of it were his close friends; this WAS NOT the traded exchange rate as most dealers would have you believe.

If you see any site talking about pre-war Dinar value of $3 without explaining that this was not really traded and that in fact, set by Saddam for his close associates, then leave the site ASAP.
Pictures of the Old Saddam Dinar will be posted soon. I recently bought some of this old currency and am taking pictures now. I have to tell you though, the Old Dinar is some of the most colorful money I have seen when placed under a black light! I’ll post those pictures as well.

I had a friend who was in Iraq and he sent me two 250 old dinars with saddam on the front. They are real but i don’t know what to do with them

If your money is not to old then you can exchange it for us currency for a lot more money. I have a one hundred fils. Its to old to exchange. On line it says its worth $266 usd.

my neighbor was over there fighting he brought back a couple suitcases full he gave me a bout 3450 post war Saddam dinars and they’re the real deal, Ive had them myself since before Saddam was executed. I never knew they had any value. I have many different a couple different 250 notes, 2 different 50 notes,100s, 10s, and 5s. how much do you think its worth.
